Sesame Bankhall Group retains number one spot for mortgages in 2011
- Group strengthens position with £1.9bn mortgage business increase to £26.1bn
- Investment in services helps advisers to increase productivity by 20 per cent in 2011
Sesame Bankhall Group has today announced its 2011 mortgage business and market share results for PMS and Sesame. The combined group delivered over £26.1bn of mortgage applications to lenders in 2011, a £1.9bn increase on the previous year (2010: £24.2bn). The group’s market share also increased to 13.8 per cent of the overall UK mortgage market (2010: 13.3 per cent).

Lisa has been named HR Director of the Year at the prestigious HR Distinction Awards 2012, held at the ICC in Birmingham in front of 400 of her peer HR professionals from across the UK.
The HR Distinction Awards recognise the outstanding achievement of HR Directors from the UK’s leading companies and are assessed by a panel of judges selected from some of the UK’s biggest organisations, including Tesco, McDonald’s and Carphone Warehouse.

Sesame Bankhall Group has announced that John Malone, executive chairman of PMS, has committed his future to the business until the end of 2013.
Malone, who was due to retire from PMS at the end of this year, is keen to continue working with the team as the business seeks to build on its market leading position in mortgages, protection and general insurance.

Sesame Bankhall Group has bolstered its product and investment funds research service with the appointment of Rory Gravatt, who will lead the research team as it evolves to meet advisers changing needs ahead of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR).
Gravatt has 18 years industry experience and joins Sesame Bankhall Group as Senior Research Manager from Distribution Technology, where he was Senior Solutions Consultant. He was previously Head of Pensions and Protection Research at Tenet Group.

Sesame Bankhall Group has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of James Stevenson as Head of Adviser Technology.
The group has recently announced a series of investments in new adviser services. Stevenson will have a key role in developing the adviser technology strategy that will underpin many of these new initiatives. Sesame Bankhall Group is joining forces with Henderson Global Investors to launch an investment company that will help adviser firms to create bespoke investment solutions for their clients.
The new joint venture, which is subject to approval by the Financial Services Authority, will be called Optimum Investment Management Limited. The new company forms part of an integrated wealth management solution that is being developed by Sesame Bankhall Group and which incorporates risk profiling and a back office system that links through to investment platforms and funds – making it easier for advisers to do business.

Ivan Martin to remain in full time role as Executive Chairman
Sesame Bankhall Group has today announced that Chief Operating Officer George Higginson has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, subject to approval by the Financial Services Authority. George will take on a wider remit with responsibility for driving forward group operations.
Ivan Martin will continue in his active full time role as Executive Chairman of Sesame Bankhall Group, working closely with George to provide oversight of group activities, particularly in relation to the financial control and strategic development of the business.

Sesame Bankhall Group launches new training and development service to boost e-learning support for advisers Sesame Bankhall Group has enhanced the training and development support that it delivers to Sesame Network members and Bankhall customers with the launch of a new online learning management system.
