Celebrating Sesame Bankhall Group's Fabulous Women

I first joined Sesame Bankhall Group (SBG) in 2006 as a fresh-faced 24 year-old, keen to break away from the ascribed notion that as an immigrant, I could only work in certain roles.
My first role was in the contact centre, and I very quickly became interested in developing my knowledge. SBG supported me in obtaining my Diploma in Regulated financial planning and embarking on my compliance career. This was all through my journey into becoming a mother to two amazing girls.

Although I reluctantly left SBG in 2018 following a restructure of the business, it was a no-brainer when the opportunity to return presented itself. I am excited to have returned as the network’s Senior Compliance Manager, having gained an extensive range of skills and greater experience within compliance. SBG feels like home to me, and I have been able to seamlessly re-establish friendships, raise my profile and grow my network within SBG.
SBG has supported me in further developing my technical knowledge by supporting me through obtaining my ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk & Compliance. I’ve also recently successfully graduated in the senior talent development programme, XLR8.

I have great career aspirations which are to become the first black female compliance director for SBG, and to eventually progress to becoming an Executive member. I am committed to developing myself and becoming a successful leader and am confident SBG can help me achieve those goals.
